FORT SMITH (KFSM) - It is that time of the season when county and state fairs pop up around the area, bringing carnival food, rides, and live music just as the summer winds down. On Tuesday, the Sebastian County Fair starts and organizers are introducing a lot of first to the event.

For a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Sunday (August 23), anchor Daren Bobb spoke with Ciara Fleer who is with the Sebastian County Fair. She said this year there will be a rabbit hopping contest at the fair located in Greenwood. Fleer also said four different bands are expected to play from Tuesday to Friday and recommends people watch the talent show, although the deadline has passed to participate.

Gate admission will vary depending on the day a person attends. For more information, click on this link to view the fair book.
