MULDROW (KFSM) — Officials from Muldrow High School confirm that a football player was badly injured during a scrimmage practice Thursday night (August 28).

The high school’s principal, Steve Page, said the 9th grade running back was hit in the head during practice when he lost full feeling and movement on the left side of his body. Page said everyone on staff took the necessary precautions before the medical helicopter arrived. The player was then taken to a Tulsa hospital for treatment.

According to posts made by the student’s family on Facebook, he was discharged Friday morning after regaining feeling in his leg and walking with no pain.
