Republican Presidential Hopeful Scott Walker To Visit Arkansas
(KFSM) — Another Republican presidential hopeful is scheduling a stop in Arkansas.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is set to make a visit to Northwest Arkansas on Sept. 9, however there are no details yet as to where he will be and what time.
Walker is one of 17 candidates for the Republican Party’s nomination to the 2016 presidential election.
Republican presidential hopefuls Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Ben Carson have already made stops in Arkansas and Carly Fiorina is scheduled to speak in Springdale in October.
According to Janine Parry, a political science professor at the University of Arkansas, voters in the Natural State tend to lean Republican, which could explain why the state typically does not receive attention during presidential primaries and caucuses, but the earlier-than-usual primary may have put the state on the map as a candidate stop.
