LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) -- Another mystery citizen stepped forward with a kind deed Wednesday night (Sept. 8)  to thank law enforcement officers for their service.

A man paid for a LeFlore County deputy's fuel after noticing that the deputy had issues with his fuel card, according to a LeFlore County Sheriff Department Facebook post. Since the fuel card wasn't working, the deputy would have had to call his supervisor to bring him another card, and then wait for someone to bring it to the gas station. Instead, the man in line behind him picked up the tab.

The man, a biker who came for the H.O.G. bike rally this weekend, declined to give his name. He said paying for the patrol unit's fuel was just a thank you to the deputy for doing his job and serving the county.

Rob Seale, the LeFlore County Sheriff, said this kind of support means a lot to him and his deputies.

"It's nice to hear something positive for a change and to know that somebody is actually appreciating the job that the law enforcement is doing," Seale said.

Seale said that even though he doesn't know the man's name, he hopes the man knows how thankful he and his deputies are for his act of kindness.

"I don't know who this guy is, who this biker is, but I want to publicly thank him for his support for us," Seale said.

Sheriff Seale also said that the gas station clerk reported that the man was a veteran, but without a name they could not confirm that.
