BENTONVILLE (KFSM) -- Northwest Arkansas Community College will be hosting a college fair for high school students Monday (Sept. 14).

Last year, more than 60 colleges were represented at the fair. This year, students will be able to find out about two-year and four-year colleges from Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Military personnel and technical schools will also be at the fair.

The fair is free to attend, but students are encouraged to register online, so that a representative can scan their bar code when they walk in.

"Many students may not have talked to anyone about college," Steve Hinds, NWACC executive director of public relations and marketing, said. "Let us say they are in the 10th grade and they have not even started thinking about it. And even 10th graders and sophomores, we welcome them to come out. Juniors or seniors, it is a great opportunity to start looking at information, asking questions, and thinking about what you like and what you want to study."

The fair goes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technology at the main campus in Bentonville.

NWACC will also host a Come Back To College Fair on Sept. 29 for anyone looking to go back to college.
