CLARKSVILLE (KFSM) — Clarksville voters declined a large millage increase that was aimed at building a new high school and providing upgrades throughout the school district.
The final result was 1179 (against) -705 (for).
The Clarksville School District was asking residents for a 7.9 millage increase. Superintendent David Hopkins said the money would go toward building a new high school and a new gym that would double as a tornado shelter.
