VAN BUREN (KFSM) — Police have arrested a male juvenile, and an affidavit for a warrant has been signed on a second juvenile male who police believe are involved in the vandalism of a historic cemetery, according to Lt. Stephen Staggs of the Van Buren Police Department.
Police had reported several thousands of dollars in damage had been done to Fairview Cemetery in July 2015.
A caretaker later said cemetery staff was applying for a bond to repair the damaged headstones.
