BENTONVILLE (KFSM) – A woman was arrested Saturday(Sept. 19) for attempted capital murder after she fired a gun at her husband, according to a release from the Bentonville Police Department.
Officers responded to a home located at 6201 SW Bear Road in reference to a domestic disturbance, the release states.
When they arrived, the officers determined that Cheryl Rusk, 53, had produced a handgun and fired one shot at her husband, Gary Rusk, 63, according to the release.
The bullet missed him and his wife was taken into custody, the release states.
Cheryl Rusk is being held at the Benton County Jail, her first court date is scheduled for October 26, according to jail records.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
