FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- The 16th Annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally begins Wednesday (Sept. 23) and will run through Saturday (Sept. 26), and the influx of motorcycles will cause several street closures in the downtown area.

Street closures won't begin until Friday, unless motorcycle pedestrian safety dictates otherwise, according to a Fayetteville Police Department press release. Dickson Street will be closed from St. Charles to Gregg Avenue Friday and Saturday, and West Avenue will transition from motorcycle-only traffic to a full street closure from Meadow Street to Watson Street.

Parking will be limited during certain times of the day, and signs will denote the restricted parking areas. In an effort to keep traffic flowing smoothly, electronic signs on College Avenue will inform motorists which lanes will be for used for event traffic.

Fayetteville Police said they are expecting -- and prepping for -- a large attendance for the 2015 rally. They request that citizens be cautious of the large numbers of cyclists and pedestrians in the area.
