FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- People attending the Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally this week have several different places where they can spend the night.

Many are staying at local hotels, some are renting out rooms from people with extra space in their homes, and still others are choosing to camp at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

Some visitors are traveling light and spending the rally in tents, while others have set themselves up with a home away from home.

"It is part of the experience," Don Collins said. "You are outside when you are riding and you are outside when you are camping."

Collins and Cliff Brightman came to Fayetteville with the things they could fit on their bikes.

"The ones like us that rode 2,000 miles to get here, that is a different ballgame," Brightman said. "It takes a little work and lots of bungee cords."

John Newsom had a different approach.

"We have two central air units, one full bath, one half bath in the rear," he said as he showed 5NEWS around his camping trailer. "As you can see out the doorway we have a party deck with a bar. We have surround sound throughout the whole unit. A master bedroom in the front. It is just a good, solid unit. We really enjoy it."

And the trailer's back patio can transform into a second bedroom with a private bath or a mini garage to haul his motorcycles.

Many who are staying at the fairgrounds said they prefer the atmosphere in the area over staying at a hotel.
