SEQUOYAH COUNTY (KFSM) — An Oklahoma City man was released from a Tulsa, Okla. hospital after he was treated with head injuries from a boating accident, according to a release from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The man was wake-boarding at Lake Tenkiller on Friday (Sept. 25) around 1 p.m. when he fell off his board and into the water. Before his boat could retrieve him, a Yamaha Personal Watercraft struck the man in the water, the release stated.
He was transported by helicopter to the hospital.
Authorities stated the cause of collision was due to inattentive operation.
