SPRINGDALE (KFSM) -- Tyson Foods announced Thursday (Oct. 8) that workers will be returning to their original headquarters building in downtown Springdale.
Tyson Foods chairman John Tyson and Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse made the announcement at 10:30 a.m. in front of the soon-to-be-renovated headquarters.
The original headquarters, located on 319 East Emma Avenue, will eventually house 300 people. The front of the building will remain the same, but the renovations will expand the building to 44,000 square feet.
Renovations started Thursday morning, when a wrecking ball knocked a hole in the back of the building. The construction is expected to be finished by 2017.
