Police said Cornelius Anderson, 22, is facing felony charges of aggravated assault, second-degree battery, first-degree false imprisonment and terroristic threatening.

According to an arrest report, the victim went to Anderson’s house on Piedmont Pl. in Fayetteville around 6:15 p.m. to get back $400 Anderson owed him. The victim told police Anderson pulled out a folding knife, stabbed him in the side and told him he would kill him.

The report states Anderson then pushed the victim into a bedroom, pinned him to the bed with the knife raised towards him, then locked the victim inside the room.

The victim told police he tried to call his sister, and Anderson took his phone. He said when Anderson came into the bedroom, he ran past him and escaped. The report states investigators talked to the victim’s sister, who told officers at one point she heard him ask Anderson, “Are you going to kill me?”

Police said the victim was treated at the Washington Regional Medical Center for his wound. Anderson is being held on a $7500 bond and will appear in court on Nov. 13.
