FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Emmanual Lutheran Church held a unique event Saturday night (Oct. 18) to raise money for those less fortunate in Washington County.
The event was called "Brews For Blessings" and went on from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The fundraiser featured several local craft breweries. For just a few dollars, attendees got their own tasting glass and were able to sample different beers.
"We created an atmosphere for some fellowship between members of our church and people outside of our church who were looking to have fun but also donate money to a good cause," Church member Bob Kroening said.
Organizers said they raised over $2,000 at the event. The money is going to the Cooperative Emergency Outreach program.
