FORT SMITH (KFSM) - Forty different restaurants, from small mom and pop food stores to large franchises, will come together for a popular River Valley food festival benefiting at least six local charities.
In a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Sunday (October 18), anchor Daren Bobb spoke to Debbie Findley with the Altrusa Club. They are hosting the "Taste of Fort Smith" on Tuesday, October 27th at the Fort Smith Convention Center. Findley said this is the event's 28th year, and it has grown in popularity in the River Valley. She also said that new restaurants come along annually, bringing their best food items.
Two sessions will be held: lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Tickets will cost $15 to attend each individual session, and they can be purchased at several locations in advance, including the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce and any Simmons First National Bank.
