RIVER VALLEY (KFSM) – Many people across the area spent Sunday (Oct. 25) preparing for Halloween, by picking out pumpkins and deciding on a costume.

Six-year-old Kaden Palmer found his pumpkin at Wild Things Farm in Pocola, and he knows exactly what he’s going to do with it.

"When I go home I’m going to make a jack-o'-lantern,” Palmer said.

Hunter Jones was also at the farm, and he said he plans to dress up as a ghost on Halloween.

"I've always been a ninja and I just decided to be something else,” Jones said.

Some families also went to the Fall Festival at United Methodist Church in Greenwood.

A haunted house and a costume contest were among several activities available throughout the night. Pumpkins were for sale earlier in the day at the church.
