FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Two suspects are in custody after they were arrested on Saturday morning (Oct. 31) on suspicion of multiple counts.

Autumn Leigh Tate, 20, and Monty Carlos Zabalza, 19, were located as suspects in a vehicle that a witness described.

Witnesses had seen a man and woman slashing tires of parked vehicles at Central Mall. A total of four cars had their tires slashed, according to a release from the Fort Smith Police Department.

Tate and Zabalza were arrested on suspicion of:

  • four counts of criminal mischief
  • three counts of arson
  • one count of felony possession of marijuana
  • one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects are being held at the Sebastian County Detention Center without bond.
