FORT SMITH (KFSM) — A Michigan man is behind bars and awaiting extradition to Fort Smith after he was  arrested on suspicion of computer exploitation of a child, a class B felony.

David Owen Henry, 54, was arrested after Michigan State Troopers executed a search warrant of Henry’s residence in Flint, Mich. and located evidence of his crimes, as well as identifying other victims, according to a release from the Fort Smith Police Department.

A 14-year-old victim had reported to police that she had was in an online relationship with Henry that had begun on social media, the release stated.

Henry allegedly convinced the victim to send explicit messages and video of her to him through their social media account, according to the release.

Detectives with the Fort Smith Police Department’s street Crimes Unit had begun the investigation during the first week of November.

Henry is being held in the Genesee County Detention Center in Michigan, awaiting extradition to Fort Smith.
