LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) — A woman who deputies said shot a man near Shady Point early Sunday morning is being held on a $100,000 bond, as the man undergoes treatment for his injuries at a Tulsa-area hospital.

Undersheriff Kendall Morgan said Jessica Hardesty, 33, of Bixby, Oklahoma, was taken into custody Sunday morning (Nov. 22) on suspicion of aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon with the intent to cause bodily injury following a shooting near Shady Point earlier that morning.

The shooting happened at a man’s home on Calhoun Road, sometime around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Morgan said. The man suffered one gunshot wound to the upper part of his leg and was taken by medical helicopter to the hospital, according to Morgan.

The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, remains in critical condition.
