SPRINGDALE (KFSM)– A Springdale man is behind bars after punching a woman multiple times, choking her and locking her in a room, according to police.
Charles Lanos, 35, is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of third-degree domestic battery, interference with emergency communications and false imprisonment, according to the Washington County jail website.
An arrest report states Lanos showed up at the victim’s house around 7 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 28) on Rim Rock Ave. The victim told police they got into an argument, and Lanos began punching her and throwing items at her from around the house.
The reports states Lanos punched her several times in the back of the head, arms and stomach. The victim said Lanos then pushed her into a room and blocked the door. She said Lanos took her phone when she tried to call 911.
The victim told police she was able to leave the room, but said Lanos grabbed her from behind, slammed her onto a bed and began choking her. The report states the victim was able to get away until police responded.
Lanos’ bond has not yet been set. He will appear in court on Nov. 30.
