FORT SMITH (KFSM) — A Fort Smith man was sentenced to spend 10 years in a federal prison after pleading guilty to transporting minors for prostitution, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas Kenneth Elser.

Odis Charles Grant, Jr., 30, admitted to transporting two female juveniles from Fort Smith to Texas in November 2014, with the intent for the two girls to engage in prostitution, according to the release.

Grant used Facebook to recruit the minors, the release states.  He also admitted to directing another individual to take photographs of the minors, which were used in ads posted on an escort webstie.  According to the minors, they engaged in prostitution  and provided the money to Grant.

After Grant serves his prison sentence, he will also spend five years on supervised release.
