WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM)– The Washington County Animal Shelter held their annual holiday open house event Saturday (Dec. 5) called “Whiskers In Wonderland.”

The adoption drive featured $5 pet pictures with Santa, as well as hot cider and cookies. All proceeds from the holiday open house benefited the shelter. Director Carmen Nelson said their goal was to get people in the doors to look at the adoptable animals.

“We wanted to do a little holiday theme so we brought in Santa and did pictures with Santa with their pets,” Nelson said.

The “Whiskers In Wonderland” event was held Saturday (Dec. 5) from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
