VAN BUREN (KFSM) -- A man turned himself in to the Crawford County Sheriff's Department after investigators were searching for him Tuesday (Dec. 8).

Crawford County Sheriff Ron Brown said Clayburne Parker attempted murder by running a man over with a truck and then leaving the scene, near Sandstone Drive and Pevehouse Road in Van Buren.

"When the officers arrived on the scene, they found a white male that was hurt," Brown said.

He said the victim decided to come outside when he heard a noise early in the morning. Brown said the victim had a handgun, and fired a shot at his own truck, which Parker was driving.

Brown said Parker was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and theft of property. Parker did not know the victim, according to investigators.

The victim is expected to be okay.

"I believe [he] was treated on scene by EMS and released," Brown said.

Parker is also a suspect in a related Van Buren theft, according to a post on the Crawford County Sheriff Office's Facebook page.

Police said that Parker's vehicle was found earlier this week, but he wasn't with it.

Good thing he turned himself in. That was a buddy of mine that he tried to kill. And I think that a lot of other people have been helping him and I know who you are.

Wow, you better go back and fact check, it was not victims truck which Parker was driving , Parker’s girlfriends truck, also I saw the footage shot did not show victims residence , the victim is menace to his neighbors although a attempted theft did take place, he ,victim, regularly shoots toward his neighbors . Check police reports on him
