Hannahs Helps Hogs Bounce Back Against Evansville

Arkansas beats Evansville 89-76 to avoid a two game losing skid.

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - Arkansas avoids a two game losing streak with a win over Evansville 89-76 Tuesday night at Bud Walton Arena.

Dusty Hannahs came in clutch off the bench. Hannahs hit the go-ahead three pointer with just under nine minutes in the first half remaining, and the Hogs never looked back. They went into the half with a 12 point lead. The Purple Aces never came within more than 11 points after the break.

Hannahs lead the team with a season-high 23 points and only one rebound. The SEC leading 3-point shooter was 3 for 5 from behind the arc and finished 5 of 11 overall from the field, along with hitting all 10 of his free throws.  Anthlon Bell followed Hannahs with 21 points.

Egidijus Mockevicius led the Purple Aces with 22 points and 12 rebounds, finishing 9 of 11 from the field with a dunk. Evansville entered the game winning 12 of its last 13 games. They started out the game strong with a quick 5-0 lead, but couldn't keep pace once Arkansas shooting came alive.

The win puts the Razorbacks back to .500 on the season. Arkansas next hosts Tennessee Tech on Saturday.
