Waldron Police: Suspect Arrested After Allegedly Killing Girlfriend

WALDRON (KFSM) -- The Waldron Police Department is investigating a death after police responded to an incident at a residence off South Main Street.

Daniel Roseberry, was arrested Tuesday evening (Dec. 8) after he called police and said that he had killed his girlfriend at a residence on South Main Street in Waldron, according to a release posted on the department's Facebook page. 

When police arrived, Roseberry was outside the residence where he lived with his girlfriend, the release states. Officers said they found the woman, Lavonda Legitt, inside unresponsive with a stab wound to her stomach and neck.

"He said they had just been in an argument-something about someone he had friended on Facebook," said Waldron Police Chief David Willard.

Roseberry is being held at the Scott County Jail while the investigation continues.
