OKLAHOMA CITY (KFSM) — After applying to place a festivus pole at the Arkansas state capitol grounds earlier this month, a Florida man has done the same in Oklahoma.
Chaz Stevens, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., has received approval to place a gay pride festivus pole inside the first floor rotunda of the state capitol building.
Stevens’ legal organization name is “The Z Production Group, Inc.”
The pole will be displayed on Dec. 23, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Stevens stated that the pole is approximately 6 feet 6 inches tall, painted with purple glitter, covered in rainbow colors and topped with an 8-inch disco ball.
