POLICE: Woman Faces Charges After Crashing Stolen Vehicle Overnight

Fort Smith (KFSM) — A woman is behind bars at the Sebastian County Jail Tuesday morning (Dec. 15), after authorities say she stole a car and crashed it into a utility pole.

Officers say Stephanie Cooper was taken into custody following the accident, which happened around 3 a.m. on North 37th Street.

Cooper was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, theft of property as well as driving with a suspended license.

Her bond is set at $2,850.
