FORT SMITH (KFSM)  --  Sutton Elementary Students in Fort Smith received brand new bicycles for perfect attendance.

The bicycles were donated to the school by Academy Sports and Outdoors as part of their annual bike donation program.

Fifteen boys bikes and 15 girls bikes were part of the donation.

School leaders chose to donate the bicycles to kids who had perfect attendance for the school year.

The donation was a surprise for the kids. Each bicycle was also given with a helmet.

"We do this every year, for ten years, which is how many years Academy has been in Fort Smith Arkansas." said Fort Smith store manager Jeff Griffith. "It's good to get out of the store during the Christmas season. When I go back all the associates want to know how it went and how the kids liked it."

The program occurs throughout December across 15 states. It benefits 4,000 boys and girls and has an estimated value of $250,000.
