FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — An Oklahoma man pleaded guilty to falsely reporting that a bomb was planted in Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers in 2012.

Allen Ward, 51, of Muskogee, Oklahoma pleaded guilty to one count of maliciously conveying false information on Wednesday (Jan. 6), according to a press release from the US Attorney.

Ward called the Bentonville Police Department on Oct. 12, 2012, reporting that a bomb might be in the the Rogers church, which is where his ex-wife attended, the release states.  Ward knew the information was false at the time of the report.

Ward is facing a maximum sentence of 10 years, the release states. Sentencing will occur at a later date.
