FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — The Agriculture and Plant Science buildings on the University of Arkansas campus were put on evacuation orders after a chemical spill Wednesday morning (Jan. 7).

The spill occurred in the Agriculture building, according to a RazALERT. A shelf collapsed in the soils lab.

It was not a large spill, and the buildings have since been cleared, said UAPD Captain Gary Crain. The buildings were evacuated as a precautionary measure.

They are still unsure which chemicals spilled, Crain said.

A university group is finishing the cleanup process.
