WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM) — Police arrested a previously convicted felon Tuesday night after discovering more than 300 pounds of marijuana in a Springdale home.

Vincent Clemente Marquez, 69, is facing felony charges of possession of firearms, possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession with purpose to deliver marijuana, according to an preliminary report.

While serving a search warrant at Marquez’ home on Highway 412, the Fourth Judicial Task Force found 337.5 pounds of packaged marijuana, more than $81,000, two guns, ammunition, and several items of drug paraphernalia, the report states.

The marijuana has a street value of $1 million, said Sgt. Craig Stout of the Fayetteville police. That’s enough weed for 216,000 joints.

Marquez was taken to the Washington County Jail.

The Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force is comprised of Fayetteville, Springdale, Prairie Grove, Lincoln, Farmington, West Fork, Greenland, Johnson, Tontitown, Elkins Police Departments, the City of Goshen, and the Washington and Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
