LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) -- The LeFlore County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide involving a 45-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl on Saturday (Jan. 9), according to a post on its Facebook page.

Deputies discovered the body of Goldie Long, 45, in a Holson Valley area residence, according to their Facebook page. Long had been shot once in the head with a rifle.

A 17-year-old who lives at the residence was identified as a suspect and was transported to a juvenile detention facility, the post states. She is facing charges of second degree murder.

The suspect is being held without bond at the Talihina Juvenile Detention Center without bond. Her next court date will be on Wednesday (Jan. 13), where it will be announced if she will be tried as an adult.

"We don't know if she's going to be tried under the Youthful Offenders Act as an adult to face adult punishment in the Department of Corrections," Sheriff Rob Seale said on Monday (Jan. 11).

The sheriff's department said the shooting is still under investigation.
