Fort Smith Police Investigating Business Fires As Arson

FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Firefighters have determined a local business lost $75,000 in damages after two fires that are being investigated by police as arson.

Pro Speed, located on the 3100 block of Towson Avenue, experienced two fires on Wednesday (Jan. 6).

According to an incident report, the first fire began in the building’s bathroom, and the second fire started in the front of the building. The report stated there was nothing that should have started the second fire in the area, and there were no outlets around.

The Fort Smith Police Department said the original person of interest named in the report was no longer determined to be a suspect.
