POCOLA (KFSM) — Several road issues will be fixed after voters decided to approve a new street improvement tax on Tuesday (Jan. 12).
More than two-thirds of Pocola voters approved the tax.
- YES – 220 (67.90 percent)
- AGAINST – 104 (32.10 percent)
The tax will go toward improving Pocola’s streets, alleys and drainage systems.
According to a news release provided by the LeFlore County Election Board, precinct polling places in the special election included:
Precinct 106 — Pocola Junior High Annex, 603 E. Pryor St.
Precinct 107 — Pocola First Baptist Church, S. Pocola Boulevard.
Precinct 109 — Cameron First Baptist Church, 15884 Church St., Cameron
