FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Freedom March has been moved Monday (Jan. 18) due to freezing weather and potentially hazardous street conditions.
According to a press release, the march will now be held inside the Arkansas Union beginning in the Verizon Ballroom at 11:15 a.m.
Keynote speakers for the event will be Joseph Daniels III, the Inspirational Chorale, senior Kristen Smith, Trey Smith, who is a senior and President of Dream Keepers.
All of these events are co-sponsored by the Northwest Arkansas MLK Council and the U of A Associated Student Government and Black Students Association.
