Former Lady Lions Volleyball Player Dies From Car Accident Injuries

The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Athletic Department announced that former volleyball player Jordan Erz has died.

FORT SMITH (KFSM) — The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Athletic Department announced that former volleyball player Jordan Erz has died.

Erz was involved in a car accident last week, the athletic department stated.

The Carleton, Michigan native played for the Lady Lions for three seasons. Before transferring to UAFS, she played her freshman year at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

The official Facebook page for UAFS Basketball released the following statement:

“Tough day for our ‪#‎UAFSfamily‬ as former Uafs Lions VB player Jordan Erz has passed away after a hard fought battle to recover from a tragic car accident last week. Our support goes out to her family, and her extended UAFS family here in Fort Smith. ‪#‎IAmALion‬
