LOWELL (KFSM) -- United Way is offering a helping hand during tax season by partnering with Care Community Center to offer free tax services for families.
While the free tax help is available, people still need to qualify. The free services will only be offered to households that make $58,000 or less.
Last year, more than 38,000 people took advantage of the service in Northwest Arkansas.
"We like to do this for those hardworking families who just need a little extra help," said Alexa McGriff, the director of marketing and direct programs at United Way. "Or just do something nice for them so they don't have to worry about this one thing this season."
People without transportation can still benefit from the free tax services by going to myfreetaxes.com. The site is open 24/7.
Free tax services are available now through April 15.
