FORT SMITH (KFSM)- Northside's Kiondre Thomas had a change of heart when it came to school's, but he is confident now that he has made the right choice. The cornerback has had several offers and even committed to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in May of 2015. But, following his commitment he received offers from two Power 5 schools, Minnesota being one. After an official visit Kiondre Thomas decided to be a Gopher over being a Bulldog.
Thomas made it official signing his letter to join the Minnesota recruiting class on National Signing Day and he already has big plans for what he wants to accomplish as a Gopher.
"I'm trying to be an All-American, All Big Ten, I'm trying to play as quick as possible".
Thomas is a projected 3-star recruit according to 247Sports and is strong on both side of the ball. On the defense side he earned All-State honors after he got 63 tackles, 18 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and picked off six passes returning one for a touchdown. On offense he racked up six touchdowns, returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, and added three receiving touchdowns while reaching 244 yards.
