PRAIRIE GROVE (KFSM) - Prairie Grove tight end Dylan Soehner signed his commitment letter to Iowa State University on National Signing Day.

The senior helped lead the Tigers to their first ever state title game appearance in December.

Soehner was supposed to go on official visits to the University of Illinois and Purdue, but opted not to after his visit to Ames, Iowa. He said Missouri was also interested in recruiting him.

"Kind of on the visit, it was just a feeling thing for me," Soehner said. "The coaches are great people. There's a great fan base there, the campus is nice. It was just kind of a feeling thing."

Even though the Cyclones were 3-9 overall and 2-7 in the Big XII, the senior is excited to be playing in a power five conference.

"It's a big deal. I don't know if it's had time to sink in yet. It's definitely crazy," Soehner said.
