FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Michael Bernal said Sunday that Arkansas knows mid-week games against Mississippi Valley State are the games they have to win to keep their hopes alive of hosting a regional.

The Razorbacks’ bats agreed.

Arkansas pounded 19 hits and scored in each of the first seven innings as they rolled over the Delta Devils for a 21-4 win inside Baum Stadium.

Mississippi Valley State (0-5) has been outscored 73-10 over the first five games of the season.

Luke Bonfield led the Arkansas offense as he drove in five runs, including his two-run home run in the third inning. Clark Eagan and Austin Catron also homered for the Razorbacks.

Freshman catcher Grant Koch had three hits and drove in four runs and was one of nine Arkansas players to drive in at least one run.
