Police Look For Person Of Interest In Rolex Watch Theft

FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Police are searching for a female who they believe may have information regarding the theft of  a Rolex watch.

According to a release from Sgt. Daniel Grubbs of the Fort Smith Police Department, a Van Buren man stopped at the Garrison Pointe Convenience Store on 415 Grand Ave. on February 8.

He used the women’s restroom due to the men’s room being occupied, and placed his gold and black Rolex watch near the sink, the release stated. He unknowingly left it there and, upon returning to the store some minutes later, noticed the watch was gone.

He said the value of the watch is listed at $12,000.

The person of interest is described as a white female, 35-45 years old and drives a late model Chevrolet truck.
