EUREKA SPRINGS (KFSM) — Highway 23 South near Huntsville Road has reopened after a gas leak forced a closure on Wednesday (March 2).
The road was expected to be closed for about two hours, but was cleared a little earlier than anticipated, said Eureka Springs fire chief Randy Ates.
He said it was a small leak created by a backhoe bucket striking a buried line. It was within a few feet of the roadway, according to Ates.
