SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — A child struck by a vehicle on Wednesday evening (March 2) has been been pronounced deceased at a hospital.
According to Springdale Police, officers responded to the 800 block of Doubletree Street for a pedestrian vs vehicle accident.
When officers arrived they discovered a 2-year-old child had been struck by a vehicle. The child was transported to the hospital, police stated.
Police have identified the truck driver as Jose Macias of Springdale. No citations have been issued and no charges are expected to be filed, according to police.
Police believe this was an accident and that no foul play is involved.
