Arkansas Falls To Tennessee In SEC Women’s Tournament

Arkansas fell behind by double digits early and never recovered in 68-51 loss

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. (KFSM) – Arkansas and Tennessee had split their two meetings in the regular season but the Lady Vols won the third in the first five minutes of the game.

Tennessee jumped out to a 12-2 lead and Arkansas could never rally as the Razorbacks’ season comes to an end after a 68-51 loss in the SEC Tournament.

Tennessee will face Texas A&M on Friday in third round of the conference tournament.

Arkansas missed eight of its first nine shots as the Lady Vols jumped out to the early advantage and eventually pushed that lead to as much as 17 in the second quarter.

Devin Cosper led Arkansas with 20 points while Jessica Jackson finished with 12. Melissa Wolff’s Razorback career came to an end as the senior score five points on 2-of-8 shooting.

The Razorbacks struggled from the field, hitting just 31 percent and was just 3-of-12 from 3-point range.
