FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Fort Smith Firefighters were hard at work early Thursday (Mar. 3) after a building on the north side of town went up in flames.
According to dispatchers, crews were called to the scene on North 9th Street around 2 a.m.
Firefighters said the building was vacant and no one was inside during the time of the fire. According to the Fort Smith Fire Marshal, it appeared that a few 4-wheelers and trailers were all that was inside the building during the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
