FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Police have released more surveillance footage of what they believe are accomplices that played a role in Wednesday evening’s armed robbery at Doug’s Also convenience store.

According  to police, the store clerk was treated on scene for minor injuries. The clerk tried to flee out the door, but the suspect pulled her back inside and demanded money from her at gunpoint, according to a press release.

Police said the suspect is a black male, described as being “tall” and “thin.” He was wearing a two-toned gray and black jacket, a dark hooded sweatshirt, black athletic pants and tan boots.

Sgt. Daniel Grubbs of the Fort Smith Police Department stated that two adult females are believed to have been accomplices in the robbery.

Prior to the robbery, a maroon (or red) late model quad cab (four-door) Dodge truck with a handicap placard hanging from the rear-view mirror, drove into a bay at the car wash, according to a release.

The suspect vehicle also appeared to have a hitch-mounted scooter or wheelchair carrier installed.  The driver, a black female wearing a football jersey, temporarily sprays off the driver’s side of the truck while looking towards Doug’s Also, the release stated.

A white female front passenger got out the vehicle to smoke a cigarette, and then reentered the front passenger seat.  The armed suspect suddenly appeared and quickly got into the rear passenger side of the truck.  The black female dropped the nozzle and all three quickly left the scene, the release stated.
