SPRINGDALE (KFSM) -- Arvest Ballpark is opening its gate for the first time this year -- but it's for free.

Arvest Ballpark is opening early for their fifth annual FanFest this Saturday (March 5), giving everyone a chance to look around before the ballpark officially opens on April 7. They're expecting 500 to 1,000 people to show up for the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

It's a great time for the family to take the kiddos to see the Arvest Ballpark train. There will be inflatables for them too, and adults can get tours of the club house and the press box suites or walk around the track.

"It's a lot of fun. You get to see people who are excited for baseball season, excited to come see the ballpark," said Justin Cole the general manager of the Naturals. "It's really just a fun day. People are out here smiling, having fun."

Something new this year will be their HD video board, along with a revamped kids zone.

The Naturals players will not be in attendance, as they're in Arizona for spring training.
