SALLISAW (KFSM) -- The Sallisaw Police Department is looking for two females they believe stole a woman's wallet Tuesday (March 8) and spent around $10,000 on one of her credit cards.
Police stated that after the female victim had her wallet stolen from her vehicle, two black females entered Dollar General Store on Cherokee Street in Sallisaw and made large purchases on a credit card that was inside the stolen wallet. Police said about $2,000 was spent at Dollar General, and an attempt was made to spend another $500, but that was stopped.
The same two females then went to Van Buren and made large purchases at Walgreens, Dollar General, Lowe's and CVS Pharmacy with the stolen credit cards, according to police.
A short time after leaving Van Buren the same two females then traveled to Fort Smith and made purchases at Best Buy, Target and Walgreens.
The females are traveling in a black Jeep Cherokee. Police said the purchases added up to more than $10,000.
