Off-Duty VBPD Officer’s Gun Used In Apparent Suicide

VAN BUREN (KFSM) — ASP is investigating after an off-duty Van Buren Police officer’s gun was used in an apparent suicide on Wednesday evening (March 23).

The incident occurred around 9:10 p.m. at the Price Cutter parking lot.

The off-duty officer was inside the store when police say the firearm was used.

The officer came outside to find his friend had used the weapon inside his vehicle.
