POCOLA, Okla. (KFSM) -- Five people were arrested on Tuesday (March 29) in Pocola after the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said they uncovered a drug and weapon smuggling ring.

David Lemon, John Spencer, Jill Bradley, Che Tidwell and Tanner Thompson were arrested in a Pocola home on Highway 112 Tuesday morning.

Investigators said they were part of a operation with ties to Arkansas, California and Texas. Agents said they believe the five people arrested in Pocola were working with people across the other states to deal stolen weapons and drugs.

"Drug investigations are not overnight, snap your finger types of things. Many result in year or years long investigations to reach the top of the food chain so to speak of drugs coming in," said Leflore County sheriff Rob Seale.

Tuesday's search is part of a federal investigation, and similar searches were performed in the three other states as well.

So far, agents have uncovered 60 pounds of meth in the four-state raid.

This is a developing story, and more information will be added as it becomes available.
